This book is a biography of Confucius that goes into detail about his family life, his students, his travels, and his career.  The book explains a lot of his theories as a philosopher.  I would use this book for students in forth to sixth grade.  I would use the different sections in this book to help instruct my students when it comes to Chinese history. This book would help students understand the different thought process of the people during that time and in that area of the world.  This book not only has a lot of historical value but it also deals with self improvement which is also important for pre-teens.
