Harriet Tubman is a slave that finds courage through her faith that leads her to escape and find freedom.  On her long journey she is faced with fear, uncertainty, and courage.  As she found her freedom she longed to free her family and then her friends and then all the slaves she could possibly lead to freedom.  She was an incredibly brave woman who saved many slaves lives by putting her own behind others.  I would read this book to third through sixth grade students to help them visualize how horrifying slavery was and to educate them about the Underground Railroad and Harriet Tubman.
