Henry was born into slavery and as a child his mother told him how one day they could be ripped apart if their master decided to sale him.  His master did just that when he was old enough to go work for the master’s son.  Soon he met a girl and he begged his master to let them marry and live together and his master let him.  Henry and his wife had three young children and all of them were sold one day while he was at work.  Henry could no save them and he had no idea where they were.  Henry could not take it any longer he had to be free, so he asked the help of a nice white man who shipped Henry in a box.  After a long journey sitting in a box upside down Henry arrived in Philadelphia.  Henry was finally a free man.
